THIS CAMPAIGN IS AN ORGANISED EFFORT WHICH SEEKS TO INFLUENCE
THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS WITHIN THE ELECTORAL COMMUNITY IN NIGERIA.
IT IS AIMED AT A THOROUGH, PURPOSEFUL, INVIGORATED MASS-DRIVEN
AND GRASSROOTS MOBILLISATION OF OVER 20 MILLION NIGERIANS WHO SEEKS FOR A
GREATER NIGERIA WITH A COMMON SLOGAN *"I AM A NIGERIAN, I WANT
GREATNESS"*
PRESS CONFERENCE ADDRESSED BY THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF PROJECT 20
MILLION, COMRADE IKECHUKWU CHUKWUNYERE RECENTLY.
Today marks a new Dawn in the annals of our great country
Nigeria, Project 20 Million has come to bring life to the lifeless, voice to
the voiceless and ears to the sincere yearnings of the people.
Democracy is said to be the Government of the people, by the
people and for the people but Nigerians cannot genuinely say they have been
part of government in Nigeria rather the reverse has been the case: we have had
political office holders who have not been elected into office with the mandate
of the people but through ballot box snatching, manipulation of election
results and all sorts of electoral malpractices, those who are eventually
elected totally disconnect with the electorates upon assumption into office,
looting of billions of Naira and our collective wealth has been on the increase
etc.
We are aware of pontification by some elements that Nigeria
elections can always be manoeuvred but we make bold to say that it won’t be
business as usual, merit will No longer be sacrificed on the altar of
mediocrity.
After our 74th General meeting which held on Thursday 16th of
March, 2017, it was resolved as follows:
1) That Project 20 Million is a project of the Youth, by the
Youth and for the betterment of the Youth and will pursue activities that will
be beneficial to the Youths
2) That Project 20 Million through our internal mechanism will
partner with Security agencies and other Financial crimes agencies to ensure
that we stamp out corruption, rid off corrupt political and government office
holders and ensure that corrupt persons are not voted in 2019.
3) That we will Sensitize the over 20 Million would-be members
of Project 20 Million on the importance of election and electing leaders who
have genuine intents for the people and who has the capacity to implement these
intents.
4) That Project 20 million will be embarking on a registration
exercise at the Wards, Local Government, and State levels. We will be issuing
membership cards to all members and a comprehensive bio-data Of Every Member
Will be kept in in our data base. This makes it easy for us to keep members
abreast with our activities and easy dissemination of information.
5) That we have concluded plans to launch our campaign mantra “I
AM A NIGERIAN, I WANT GREATNESS”. Nigerians are great people in every
ramifications and this campaign is meant to drum it into the ears of intending
political office holders that nothing short of restoring the country back to greatness
will be tolerated, we must restore greatness in Values, Education, Technology,
Agriculture, Sports, Security etc.
6) That the “I AM A NIGERIAN, I WANT GREATNESS” campaign has
been scheduled for 1st of May, 2017 in Abuja and will be a gathering
of True Nigerians who wants to be Great.
We want to use this opportunity to thank everyone that has
travelled from far and wide for this meeting and pray that this new vigour to
restore Nigeria back to Greatness will be achieved.
Long Live Project 20 Million
Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria
